The Falls Ennistmon

A setting for a late evening walk within the areas of my local town  of Ennistmon .
Down the falls of the cascades Grey Herons quickly debate fishing rights.. not ones to enjoy each others company outside of breeding season a quick squabbles sorts out differences.
A pair of Dippers heads down underwater ,a bird that specialises and thrives in the fast flow of the falls.

Doonbeg Tranquility

On my way back from Loop Head I stopped off at Doonbeg bay.The sunset was`nt to be missed, and a feel tranquility surrounded the bay
Lots of birds were in the bay as well as some Brent Geese and Whooper Swans which would have used the northerly airflow from the previous few days to travel from areas like Iceland.

Chiffchaffs -Kilbaha

A few Chiffchaffs  were around the gardens in Kilbaha , mingling with the Blue Tits and dodging cats.

False Widow Spider

I came across this little bugger while changing the car air filter, my first impression was `Red Back`. I looked it up and this spider is of the same group of widows-Steatota, this one being what I believe Steatota Nobilis or Steatota Grosso.
Either way -You dont want to get bitten by it...Its Britain & Irelands most poisonous spider.

A Burren Autumn Scene

Its the small things in The Burren that make it what it is.
An Autumn scene from within the Hazel scrub.
