The Kingfishers secret on the Fergus

While taking the kids to a secret spot for Dragonflies in a beautiful spot on the River Fergus at Inchiquin. As we walked the river bank I missed a Kingfisher, its played on me but another passed and shot up river

I came back up onto the bridge. While I watched the birds chase each other up river, quite busy on the stones and branches, visible but distant.....

A lady in a car pulled up beside me and offered me her private secret garden along the river to photo the birds

A chance I excepted....enter the secret domain of the Kingfisher

Long tailed tits at Inchiquin

A small team of Long tailed tits flutter trough the shrubs and a few Blackcaps are singing in the tops around Inchiquin bridge

Spotted Flycatcher

Spotted Flycatchers have returned to Inchiquin bridge. A woodland river with plenty of flies is always a good place to look for these summer visitors.
