Sunny spring surf

The sun was out and there was a hint of direction with small swell
A day off work planned to meet up and go surfing with Jonny & Pipa , great friends from Wales who are coastline enthusiasts and regular visitors
We arrived early not sure if this swell would last.

In between sets the sea was calm and clear down to the kelp
A real  Aquarium full of diverse species of Jellyfish.
The backdrop and scenery second to none
We Surfed for about maybe 5 hours, sharing waves with other local surfers and friends.
Enjoying the day.

Red Squirrel Road sprint

A few miles from home ,Driving through the forestry in Willowbrook
A distance up the road in a blink of an eye : I thought I saw a Stoat stand up and leap into the verge (but could have been this Squirrel). I slowed down and reached for the binoculars, window down, as a Red Squirrel came sprinting out of the grass verge, (grab camera) down the road and straight to the car ..a truck and a car were now pulled up behind me as I blocked the road and the Squirrel crossed the road and headed into the wood.
It all happens so fast.!

An hour on the Cliffs ledge

Traveling around from Doolin to Lahinch with an hour to spare.
I took the short walk to Aile na Sharragh on the Cliffs of Moher.
Possibly my favorite place to spend an hour doing nothing....but watching wildlife through my scope and views through my camera.

Ravens of Moher

A family of Ravens were busying themselves at Aile na Sharragh / Cliffs of Moher, The parents were giving loud flying lessons.
As usual at the cliffs, birdwatching can be at a good distance with poor light, so you try to wait for a flybye to get a chance of a photo.

Songs of a Sunny morning on a old road

I was on an old back road, on my way over to Doolin from Ennistymon.
There was`nt a cloud in the sky and the countryside was alive with birdsong. Cuckoo`s were abundant  (I got to see 8 in total , all at distance) , as were Grasshopper Warblers, Willow Warblers, SkyLarks, Mipits, Blackbirds,Pheasant and many more.
