Pearl-bordered Fritillary - Mullagmore

 I was hoping that one day I come across these little Burren specialists.

This Pearl-bordered Fritillary flutterbied passed me and came down just off the road near the Mullagmore cross, where 3 bus loads of people happened to walk by, not one person noticed I was photographing Irelands rarest butterfly.

 I hope they enjoyed there visit as much as I did.

Fathers Day Flowers on the Burren

After work , the sun was scorching so my Little ones and myself took a Fathers day walk through the trails near Mullagmore on the Burren
We got to see Goats , Bee Orchids , Fly Orchids and many more

A nice wonder with my daughters around the base of Mullaghmore, we were watching Dragonflys, Spiders ,Bees and Caterpillars.. The Burren flowers were given the rocky grounds some colour

Birds were singing around the Burren today, Willow warblers and Yellowhammers are noticable.
Blackcap and Dunnock sing from within the scrub along with others

A single Redpoll was spotted picking grass seed on the burren, busy and easy to approach

Yellowhammers gathering around the horse feeders close to Mullaghmore.
The grain left over may sustain these birds throughout winter.
