Pink footed Goose with Greylags

A Pink footed Goose was with 3 Greylag Geese in the marshland opposite the Pitch n put along Liscannor road. A good chance that they blew in on the previous storm this weekend.

Ballyeighter Lough

Ballyeighter Loughs are a series of waterways that wander there way through Limestone and thick reed bog on the Burren lowlands. A very sparce, open wilderness.

Greylag Geese and Mute Swan were seen as well as local nesting birds such Common Gull,Lapwing and Moorhen

Several species of Geese gather around  the shorelines and fields  of Ballyalla lake .
A nice flock of Greylag were joined by a White fronted Goose and a  pair of Canada geese as well a few farmyard geese which seem help attract them to the shores.

A Coonagh Greylag flyby

With not many birds of interest at Coonagh settlement ponds , my attention was taken to the Greylag that were circling the ponds with a honk. The only other interest was a strange Chiffchaff call, but i couldnt see the bird......

Early spring Burren afternoon

Yellowhammer

Yellowhammers were singing in the branches along with Willow Warblers,
Several pairs of Lapwing and Common gull have taken to territories in wilderness areas, they`ll have a rough time nesting with the amount of Hooded Crow in the area.
A lone Hare taking a long walk through the Burren, stopping every 10 yards for a nibble and scratch.
Not many geese on show today but 2 Greylag geese fly in and fly out .
