A walk down the Falls

We often take a walk down Ennistymon Falls as a family.
Its a good place for the kids to see Dippers ,which were nest building.
A pair of Mistle Thrush and pair of Robins were active along the river.
Spring is in the air

Mistle Thrushes .

 Shes only the 1 chick left , the Magpies give her a torrid time in the woodland below my home, but every year they seem to have some success, this recent fledgling was quiet still and camouflaged till food arrived .

Thrush around Gregans



Lots of thrush around this winter with the cold snap pushing thousands of bird south , plenty of Mistle thrush ,Blackbird ,Redwing & Fieldfare on show at Gregans wood to Slieve Elva
