Loop Head Seabirds

Early morning and a nice day had me walking Loop Head watching the Seabirds

I was the only person on the headland with the noises and smells of the Seabird colony. I found myself in a position to get some great views of Razorbills and Guillemots, a few Puffin were on the water below the headland.

Bridled Guillemot

While hanging over the edge of the tip of Loop Head I spotted a Guillemot of the bridled variety, showing a a bright white eye ring and thin white line extending from the eye, this case of diamorphism increases in colonies northwards
