Ring billed Gull v Common Gull -Ennis

While doing the xmas shopping in Ennis I caught up with the 3cy Ring billed Gull at the post office field.

I thought I had two , but at a closer look the other is a 3cy Common Gull (in disguise).☯

Gulls along the seaweed

Herring Gulls ,Common Gulls, and 2 Iceland Gulls monitor the washed up seaweed along the high-tide shoreline of Lahinch  sea-front.

Wenffrdd Marsh,...morning 2 & the Great White Egret

On our 2nd morning we  were greeted to the marsh by 5 Little Egret and a Great White Egret.
 With the tide being out Photography was difficult

 We also saw 2 Ruff,a flock of Golden Plover and plenty of Shelduck and Carrion crow ,Lesser black backed gulls and a not so common Common gull

Spring at Lough derg, Mallards are numerous , the great crested grebes are showing well and a first winter Common gull waits for picnic scraps...
