A Velvet scoter hangs out alone in Lahinch bay not involved with the 18 Common scoter also in the bay, the bird apears to be a female

Hawfinch move quickly through the Hornbeam treetops , are very rare sight in Ireland.
a count of six in a single flock , impossible to follow in the woodland , seen only from a distance
