Shelducks at Moy






A pair of Shelduck were circling the area of marsh at Moy beach ,Lahinch..looking for probable nest sites in the newly shaped area of coast

Doonbeg birds



A nice day around Doonbeg bay. Plenty of Whimbrel resting up on the beach , Stonechat are feeding young, and a male Shelduck was on patrol ,perhaps a family is in a burrow nearby.

The Clahane Shore

Redshank are getting frisky and displaying, A pair of Great northern Divers hunt crabs in the tidal shallows,  A lone male Shelduck seems lost and out of place, 1st time ive seen Shelduck here at Clahane.

Bell harbour - Green winged teal and Shelduck










A green-winged Teal feeding on the mudflats of Bell harbour, a distance shot but worthy,always nice to see a rare bird. On this day i counted 73 Shelduck in th harbour and a pint of stout in the Lobster bar of Newquay
