Great crested Grebe and Yellow Lily

With water levels low at Lough Atedaun the Yellow water Lilies and a Great crested Grebe that was attending to a nest or day raft over at the reeds.
 Good looking bird always looking clumsy when out of the water.were making for a fresh colorful setting  in a area that has been submerged for several years

Great crested Grebes - Lough Atedaun

The water levels were high at Lough Atedaun,
Not much wildfowl or Swans about, but the game was on for the Great crested Grebes.
Not quite in full show yet as the females were checking out all the males and so forth.

Rural Great crested Grebes

You get to see some magical photos of Great crested Grebes, many taken in city parks where birds are easy with humans, but you can rarely get close enough to rural Great crested Grebes for a good shot.
I was watching this pair at Lough Inchiquin, about as close as they come to shore
