Buff-breasted Sandpipers in the mist.

A few of my children were arriving on the afternoon Ferry at Rosslare from there summer hols in Wales, which is great as I dont mind hanging out at Tacumshin for the day one bit.
A misty windy day..Its hammered rained through-out. I caught up with 3 Buff-breasted Sandpipers, 1 Pectoral Sandpiper, 6 Ruff,a handful of Water Rail including young and the usual birds that feed and roost on the shores of the lake.
"A day in a misty swamp"..

  1. I can not fathom the fact that God has made so many beautiful creatures yet we fail to protect them and provide them a better environment to live in apart from that you found pretty beautiful birds.

  2. this is the cutest bird. But with time we are finishing such beautiful creatures as they are moving or dying due to over construction and pollution.
