A Great northern diver in summer plumage at Liscannor harbour,before travelling north these birds feed on crabs close to shore and are a welcome site,a beautiful bird

Over the past week plenty of Whimbrel & White wagtail are moving through Clahane, stocking up on the larder of food available on thier way north to breeding grounds, producing some good birdwatching

Fastly becoming one of the rarer residential birds, a few pairs still breed within old stone ruins on the coast , arriving a breeding grounds within spring.
